My Passion for Music
Hello, my name is Lynn Ueno, and I am 12 years old. I wish to become a world-known pianist that holds her own interpretation of a song based on accurate research of the specific composer, their songs, and their life. I want to be able to perform so well that, similar to an intriguing novel, the audience gets pulled into the piece, forgetting all previous thoughts, hooked into the extraordinary, vast world that the song creates, whatever it may be. I want to inspire others to learn to love music the way it is. As time progresses and many daily activities presumably be taken over by AI(or something similar), I want music to stay the only form that stays untouched, undefeated, unwavered, by new technologies. From music, I want woeful people to find support, desperate people to find hope, and struggling people to find love. I wish to seek the way to heal patients with music, or at least support them. Music is the same for everyone around the world; for times of conflict, I want to remind everyone through music, that all of us are the same, no matter from which ethnicity, nationality, race or gender. Music also bonds history, it’s a yarn that connects the thoughts and emotions of the composers of a specific time, to the composers of another time. When listening to classical pieces, from the Baroque, Classical, or Romantic Era, I feel as if looking through a window that reveals the inner world of a composer. Their biography conveys their personality, experiences, and all the moments in their life that they cherished. I want to understand each composer as best as I can and convey their thoughts and feelings through playing their pieces.
