Biography
Lynn Ueno
Lynn Ueno is an 12-year-old pianist from California who has been studying under Ms. Bianca Roesli and Professor Anna Poklewski since the age of 5. Lynn's passion for music has led her to remarkable achievements from a young age.
She made her debut performance at the Royal Albert Hall in London at the age of 6 and has since won numerous awards and prizes. In 2019, Lynn won 1st Prize at the "International Music Competition London Grand Prize Virtuoso," where she delivered a brilliant performance. She also secured the 1st Prize at the "2020 American Protégé International Piano and Strings Competition" and was invited to perform at Carnegie Hall in New York in 2022. Lynn got 2nd prize in San Francisco international piano competition (formally Artciál International Piano Competition) in the 2023 and 2024 and has been invited to perform at the Honors Concert at Herbst Theatre at the San Francisco Performing Arts Center and Caroline H. Concert Hall. Lynn was selected as a Young Artist of the 2024 Bay Piano Fest which was held at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and performed in a Young Artists Concert. Lynn has received several other awards for her exceptional talent, including the FIRST PRIZE + EXCEPTIONAL YOUNG TALENT Special Prize at the "International Music Competition Bonn Grand Prize Virtuoso" in 2020, the 1st Prize in the 2021 Great Composers Competition, and the Platinum Award with the highest score in her category at the 2022 Quebec International Music Competition. She got award 2021, 2022 and 2023 at the United States International Music Competitions, the 1st Prize in the 2021 US New Star Piano Competition by composer Chopin, and the 2nd Prize in the 2021 KAMSA Competition. Additionally, Lynn received the Gold Prize at the 2023 North American Virtuoso International Music Competition and was featured at a NAVI Top Prize Winners' Gala Concert, among many other accomplishments.
She also achieved a "Distinction" in her ARSM (Associate of the Royal Schools of Music) Diploma and Piano Performance Grade 8 examination of ABRSM (Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music) at age of 11.
In 2024, she held her first solo piano concert in Oita, Japan, attracting an audience of over 200. Through this event, she raised 197,094 JPY to Red Cross Noto Peninsula Earthquake Relief.
She appreciates having had opportunities to learn from great pianists and teachers including Shohei Sekimoto, Alan Chow, Alvin Chow, Yoshikazu Nagai, Esther Jeehae Ahn, Yumiko Aino and Rina Sudo.
